Grace Barber Maymon Ashworth

Ashworth, Grace Barber Maymon, age 97, passed away in her sleep on Friday, July 22, 2022 at home. Her parents were Chester Maymon and Ethel MacRea. Grace had lived in Warwick, RI, until moving to Venice, FL, in 1983. After high school, she became a skilled watch assembler at the Bulova Co, in Providence, RI. Years later, she was a cashier at supermarkets in Warwick, RI and Venice, FL. Since 1946, Grace loved her 51 years marriage to Chester Ashworth, a WWII US Navy Vet and expert machinist. Predeceased were her husband in1997, her parents, and her daughter: Donna Collins, her brothers: Albert, Chester, Herbert, Robert, Russell, Thomas, Wilbur, and sisters: Clara Troy, Doris Erban, and Velma Jackson. Surviving relatives: include niece: Karen (Kevin) Brousseau/MA, nephews: George (Kerri) Erban/MA, Kenneth (Kate) Erban/FL, Robert (Marsha) Erban/FL, James (Sloane) Maymon/CT, Robert Maymon /RI, Russell (Kathy) Maymon/RI, Thomas (Kristen) Maymon /RI, William (Cheryl) Maymon/FL, and sister-in-law: Margaret Maymon/RI. After her husband passed away, she joined a local social club and served as president. In 2000, she befriended Roger Kearns and his family. He died in 2004. The entire past 18 years, Walther Leuschner has lived with Grace in a loving and devoted relationship. Her amazing beauty, energy, friendliness, generosity, and humor has warmed many hearts. Grace's familiar response to "How are you?" was "Tip Top!" She was an excellent cook and talented in sewing, cross-stitch artwork, home decorating, and gardening. She traveled the United States extensively and enjoyed sailing on cruise ships. Relative and friends will be notified of Grace's Celebration of Life service at Venice Memorial Gardens.  May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
