Santa arrives by fire truck
at Oaklawn Grange
READY FOR CHRISTMAS: Mayor Ken Hopkins and Santa Claus greeted Maria Manzi (Chair of the event), her daughter Brittney Richards with her two children, Emma, age 1 and J.J, age 3.
ON HIS LAP: Brooklyn Joddin, age 8, loved meeting up with Santa Claus at the Annual Oaklawn Grange Christmas Tree Lighting. Santa arrived by fire truck and spent the evening with the children of all ages.
GETTING TO MEET SANTA: The Hetu children, Colin, age 4 and Hayley, age 11 were very happy to meet Santa Claus as they pose for a photograph with him at the Annual Oaklawn Grange Christmas Tree Lighting inside the Oaklawn Grange.
A MERRY MANZI CHRISTMAS: The Annual Oaklawn Grange Christmas Tree Lighting was organized by Maria Manzi, event coordinator for the evening. She got to spend some time with Santa.
The Annual Oaklawn Grange Christmas Tree Lighting was last week at the Gazebo and inside at the Oaklawn Grange. Santa arrived by Cranston fire truck and remained for the night for hayrides and photo opportunities. Mayor Ken Hopkins began the festivities and had the honor of lighting up the decorations. The horse drawn hay rides provided by New Deal Farms and brought many people of all ages throughout the neighborhood. There was caroling, cookies and hot cocoa for all. Hundreds of people came out for this traditional event.
