Peter A. Mazzei, 78, of Orchard Street, Cranston passed away October 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of 54 years to the late Laura “Lolly” (Hope) Mazzei.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Rose (Pennacchia) Mazzei.
Peter was an auto body repairman for many years before retiring. He was also the owner of Pete’s Pro Shop in Lang’s Bowlarama. He was an avid bowler who organized many leagues over the years at the Cranston Bowl and Lang’s Bowlarama. He was also a former director and coach for the RI Junior Bowling Program.
He was the father of Peter A. Mazzei, Jr. and his fiancée Sara Pianka, Michelle L. Peloquin and her husband Mark and Christine Healey and grandfather of John P. Hudson, Julia R. Mazzei, Jordan T. Hudson, Jeremey P. DiMeo, Jayden T. Healey and Zinnia R. Mazzei. He was also the brother of Angela Terry and Theresa Frezza.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Graveside burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION THURSDAY 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to VNA Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886.
