In this workshop, at Central Library 140 Sockanosset Cross Road, author Jonathan Todd will share his approach to creating them, and you'll have the opportunity to reflect upon personally meaningful moments in your life and think of precise ways to express these memories—and their significance—in comics form.

Jonathan's debut graphic novel Timid, coming Spring 2024 from Scholastic/Graphix, is about an African-American tween in the 1980s who must overcome shyness to discover the value of being part of a black community in a predominantly white middle school in a Boston suburb. July 25, Tuesday 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. online program: Filling Our Hearts with Love Through Meditation – Join Central Library, 140 Sockanosset Cross Road, and long time meditator Arvind Naik as he offers this engaging online workshop on how to use the practice of meditation to transform the heart. The workshop will include how to incorporate more love and peace in your life to transform your overall well-being. Learn how to let go of anger, fear, and worry in order to create more harmonious relationships, improve work and home environments, and experience a deep sense of personal contentment. The workshop will include a short meditation session.

Sept. 11, The Comedy Course - The Comedy Course is returning for a 6th year, every Monday night for 6-weeks. Every Saturday, Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market - The Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market, every Saturday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., offers locally grown vegetables, eggs, fruit, meat, honey, cheese, baked goods, prepared foods, locally roasted coffee, and local packaged foods (kimchi, hot sauce, marinara, sauerkraut, seitan).
