May 20, Food for the Soul Grab and Go Meal
Food for the Soul Grab and Go Meal at Asbury United Methodist Church & Lakewood Baptist Church working together to feed your soul on Saturday, May 20, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monthly grab and go meal site located at, Lakewood Baptist Church, 255 Atlantic Ave, Warwick. Scheduled dates to pick up meals are every 3rd Saturday of the month.

May 20, Drive-Thru Food Pantry Spring Garden Memorial Church will be holding our monthly Drive-thru Food Pantry on Saturday, May 20, 11:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Grocery bags of food and a free, bag lunch provided by Lakewood Baptist Church will be distributed in the parking lot in the back of the church.  If you have nay questions, please email the church at springgrenchurch@yahoo.com or call the office at 401-463-8328.

May 20, Yard Sale the Asbury United Methodist Church will hold a community yard sale, on May 20, 9 a.m.  – 2 p.m., 550 Fair Street (off Narragansett Parkway).  Indoor and outdoor tables will be set up. All kinds of items; bargains and fair priced treasures.  Come hungry to enjoy the food truck!

May 27, Plant Sale, The Westbay Farm is having their annual plant sale on Saturday,  May 27, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., 1351 Centerville Rd. in Warwick.  Come get local seedlings at great prices! The Westbay Community Action, has been instrumental in aiding those in the Warwick area who are experiencing the challenges of food insecurity and a cut in funds to the SNAP program and other important programs. Your purchase at the plant sale will help to fund the farm which provides over 20,000 pounds of high-quality fruits and vegetables to the community. June 9, 10, & 11 RIGMC Spring Concert Series The Rhode Island Gay Men’s Chorus is presenting their Spring Concert series, “Are We There Yet?”  at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 2115 Broad St, Cranston on Friday and Saturday, June 9 & 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m. This concert will take you on a “road trip” from New York to San Francisco!  So don’t worry about the price of gas, just fill your tank with music that only the RIGMC can provide!  Tickets are $25.00 for General Admission, $20 for Seniors, $15 for Students with ID and Children 12 and under Free. July 10, Calling all Golfers The Kent Hospital Auxiliary is celebrating their 25th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, July 10, Luncheon served from 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.; shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. at Potowomut Golf Club, 439 Ives Rd, East Greenwich. $225/golfer.  We also have sponsorships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000; T signs for $175 and program ad availability (prices range from $150-$500). After golf there is a reception, dinner, awards, silent auction and raffles. This annual event has raised thousands of dollars for Patient Care Services at Kent Hospital. June 24, Strawberry Festival Smith’s Castle, 55 Richard Smith Drive, North Kingstown, invites the public to celebrate their annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 24, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. This family friendly event will feature once again puppeteer Dan Butterworth, as well as pop singer Jesse Liam. Plenty of colonial games, activities, and crafts will be provided as well as pony rides for children. Vendors will be on-site, and they will be selling their famous strawberry shortcake as well as plants for the garden. A special exhibit will feature collections from the Narragansett Bay Quilt Association. Every Friday Cribbage Players Do you play cribbage?
