Christmas has arrived and then some! Garden City Center elected to combine two of its biggest holiday events, Santa’s Grand Entrance and the Tree Lighting into one big day entitled “It’s a Wonderful Stroll.” After a record breaking Black Friday for the shopping center, an estimated 5,000 guests were in attendance to watch Santa and Mrs. Claus make their rounds in a 1927 Studebaker. Street performers, live music, and costumes galore made the day exciting and unusual all the way up until the tree lighting at 5pm.
The Garden City Center will decked out all throughout the holiday season with photos with Santa, a letterbox to Santa for shyer guests who might not be up to an in person conversation with the Jolly Old Elf, and giving trees which encourage families to buy toys for kids in need.
