Ralph Vincent Izzi Sr. (77) of Las Vegas Nevada, formerly of Providence, Cranston and Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday June 20. Born December 14, 1946, to the late Alfonso and Theresa (Baglione) Izzi.
Ralph leaves behind his wife of 59 years Jacqueline (Doire) Izzi, his daughter Christine (Izzi) Lee and her husband Frank of Las Vegas, his son Ralph Jr. and his wife Maria (Pacheco) Izzi of Cranston, and four grandchildren; Danielle Izzi-St. Pierre, Frankie Lee, Alexander Izzi and Gianna Lee. Additionally, Ralph leaves behind his two older brothers Alfonso Izzi and John Izzi and his sister-in-law Florence, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Ralph was in the automotive industry throughout his entire career starting as an auto mechanic advancing to various management positions and eventually attaining national operations roles until his career was cut short in 1992 due to an unfortunate accident which left him permanently disabled. Although his life was forever altered, it did not dampen his spirit or passions. He found other outlets for his energy including painting and woodworking. Ralph earned multiple awards and recognition for his paintings with several pieces on display at the time of his passing.
Ralph will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his love and commitment to his family and perhaps most of all, his incredible love and adoration for his wife Jackie. Ralph impacted many lives during his time on this earth and those who were fortunate enough to have met Ralph are better people for it. Ralph left his ‘heart-prints’ with friends and family from the east coast to the west coast and he will be deeply missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church located at 2 Russo Street (main entrance on Hawkins St), Providence, Rhode Island – the site of Ralph and Jackie’s wedding nearly 60 years ago.
