Jacqueline M. (Morisseau) Mathewson, age 61, of Cranston, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was the wife of Douglas W. Mathewson.
Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of Deacon Robert M. Morisseau and Elaine M. (Fortin) Morisseau of Warwick, she lived in Cranston for the last 20 years. She was a graduate of Woonsocket Public schools for 20 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by four children, Matthew P. Neveu of Warwick, Timothy M. Neveu of Attleboro, MA, Christopher J. Mathewson of Cranston; and Amy M. Neveu of Raynham, MA; two brothers,Marc R. Morisseau of Warwick and Michael P. Morisseau of Grover Beach, CA; and three grandchildren, Parker J. Neveu, Hazel L. Neveu and Austin T. Neveu.
Jacqueline’s life was full of lave and laughter. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Her smile and compassion touched everyone she knew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, September 27, in St. PeterChruch, 350 Faie Street, Warwick, Visiting hours were held on Sunday in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, Burial was private in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Breast Health Center at Kent Hospital, Women-in-Need Program, 455 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, RI 02886.
