DUI

At 1:42 p.m. on Dec. 29, Cranston Police arrested Jeff Cunha, 40, of 142 California Ave., Providence, on charges of DUI – BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 1763 Broad St. Cunha was released to appear and transported to Rhode Island Hospital for medical issue.


WARRANT

At 5 p.m. on Dec. 27, Cranston Police arrested Derwin Martinez, 20, of 68 Warrington St., Apt. 2, Providence, on an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop near Wendy’s on Reservoir Avenue. Martinez was transferred to Providence Police.


DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE

At 9:16 p.m. on Dec. 29, Cranston Police arrested Frankie Moya, 22, of 76 Judith St., Providence, on charges of Driving with a Suspended License (fourth offense) as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Atwood Avenue. Moya was summonsed to appear.

At 5:35 p.m. on Dec. 27, Cranston Police arrested Shannon Andrews, 41, of 30 Ida St., Apt. A, Providence, on charges of Driving on a Suspended License Third/Greater. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Randall Street and Kingwood Street. Andrews was given a District Court notice to appear.


VANDALISM

At 5:44 p.m. on Dec. 27, Cranston Police arrested Jesus Rivera Garcia, 31, of 627 Cranston St., Providence, on charges of Domestic Vandalism. The arrest was the result of Providence Police turning him over to us on an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant. Garcia was arraigned and transported to ACI intake as a bail violator.


STRANGULATION

At 10:25 a.m. on Dec. 27, Cranston Police arrested Brady Rodriguez, 32, of 5 Western Hills Lane, Apt. 1303, Cranston, on charges of Domestic Strangulation, Domestic Simple Assault, Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Relinquish Telephone as the result of a disturbance call at 5 Western Hills Lane. Rodriguez awaited arraignment.


LARCENY OVER $1,500

At 1:55 p.m. on Dec. 28, Cranston Police arrested Jackie Cunningham, 60, of 15666 155th St., Jamaica Queens, NY, on charges of Attempted Larceny Over $1,500 and Resisting Legal/Illegal Arrest as a result of a call for a subject attempting to fraudulently withdraw $7,000 from TD Bank on Phenix Avenue. Cunningham was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and transported to the ACI.

At 5:43 p.m. on Dec. 19, Cranston Police arrested Crystal Palardy, 35, of 465 Elmwood Ave., Apt. B1, Providence, on charges of Larceny Over $1,500 as the result of a Cranston Warrant from a previous incident. Palardy was held as a bail violator.


ASSAULT

At 8:04 a.m. on Dec. 28, Cranston Police arrested Odalis Lajara, 49, of 5 Independence Way, Franklin, MA, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of being turned over to Cranston PD at court on an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant. Lajara was arraigned at Third District Court.       

At 2:20 a.m. on Dec. 27, Cranston Police arrested Jonathan Souza, 37, of 128 Midvale Ave., Cranston, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Refuse to Relinquish Telephone. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at the aforementioned address. Souza awaited arraignment.

At 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 26, Cranston Police arrested Jacob Palazzo, 23, of 100 Elena St., Apt. 904, Cranston, on a 24 Hour Domestic Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault & Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of the suspect turning himself in at headquarters. Palazzo awaited arraignment by the Justice of the Peace.


DISORDERLY CONDUCT

At 12:13 p.m. on Dec. 26, Cranston Police arrested Astaria Currie, 18, of 100 Elena St., Apt. 904, Cranston, on charges of Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of a disturbance at the aforementioned address. Currie awaited arraignment by the Justice of the Peace.


SHOPLIFTING

At 7:42 a.m. on Dec. 26, Cranston Police arrested Kevin Lee Wulff, 50, of 129 Webster Ave., Providence, on charges of Felony Shoplifting and Conspiracy as a result of a warrant pick-up by Providence Police. Wulff was arraigned as violator by the Justice of the Peace and transferred to the ACI.


EMBEZZLEMENT

At 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 19, Cranston Police arrested Hernes Ferrer, 21, of 174 Armington St., Cranston, on charges of Embezzlement as the result of a call for service at O’Reilly Auto Parts on Atwood Avenue. Ferrer was arraigned and released.
