UPDATE: Johnston Police have announced this stolen vehicle has been located.
"We appreciate the community's assistance," police wrote in an online post.
The Johnston Police Department had asked the public for assistance locating a stolen car. The vehicle, pictured here, was taken from the victim’s driveway on Capri Drive around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, according to police. It’s described as a rare model, two-door 2006 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. “The vehicle, which is now heavily tinted, has had its registration plates changed several times and has also been used in thefts in Pawtucket,” police said. “Those with information regarding the vehicle are asked to contact the Johnston Police Department at 401-231-8100 or email tips@johnstonpd.com.”
Police have not released any further details.
