Keeping cool in Cranston
PICKING THEIR FAVORITE FLAVORS: Enjoying their favorites on the Pawtuxet River Bridge were Elizabeth Sanchez (chocolate chip cookie dough), Richard Valcarcel (pistachio) and Gilma Alvarez (watermelon sherbet).
ALL ABOUT DEL’S: Cherie Dowling and her daughter Kaitlynn, a sophomore at Providence College, both enjoyed their favorite flavor, blueberry, at Del’s Lemonade on Oaklawn Avenue.
NOTHING LIKE MEWPORT CREAMERY: Warwick resident, Zoe Huang , 13, came to Newport Creamery in Garden City to get her favorite ice cream, a cone of mint chocolate chip.
A TRIP TO DAIRY TWIRL: Ava H., a seven-year-old second grader at Eden Park Elementary School, loves her favorite strawberry ice cream at Dairy Twirl on Reservoir Avenue.
COOLING OFF: Michal Decesare and Gloria Taylor traveled from North Scituate to cool off at their favorite ice cream joint, Sundaes in Cranston. Michael enjoyed a cone of vanilla soft serve with sprinkles while Gloria had a cup of her favorite flavor, black raspberry.
