A Complaint in Adoption has been filed in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County, Family Part for the adoption of a male child born September 13, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, Rhode Island. The mother of the child is L.S. The mother has named you as the natural father of the child. The purpose of the filing is to terminate your parental rights to the child and to grant the adoption of the child. If you object to the adoption, you must file your objection with the Surrogate of Hudson County, 595 Newark Avenue, 4th Floor, Room 407, Jersey City NJ 07306. A form for filing an objection and for the appointment of legal counsel if you are indigent can be obtained from the Surrogate’s Office upon request. You must file your written objection with the court within 35 days after publication of this notice. If you do not take this action within the aforesaid period, your parental rights will be terminated without further notice to you and you may not be permitted to object to the adoption of the child.

You have the right to have an attorney represent you. You may contact the Hudson County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (201-798-2727) or the Legal Services Office (201-792-

6363) in Hudson County. If you cannot afford an attorney and you object to the adoption, the court will appoint an attorney to represent you at no cost to you if you qualify as indigent.
