Lillian Clare Hassett, 90, of Cranston, passed away on September 18, 2020. She was the wife of the late Alfred F. Hassett, II.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Lionel and Mary (Whitney) James. Lillian was a member of the Peoples Baptist Church, serving on multiple positions including being a dedicated choir member whose voice so beautifully sang and worshiped the Lord with grace and love. She was known as the “ Best Egg Cracker” who served and witnessed to many who participated in the monthly Heavenly Hash ministry serving those in need.

Lillian was the loving mother of Catherine Lindsay and her husband Mark, of Warwick, Sandra Pastore and her husband Joseph of Cranston, Bruce Breiter and his wife Phyllis Lee of Cranston and Alfred Hassett, III of Cranston. She was the grandmother of George Breiter, Jillian Francis and her husband Robert, Lynn Ann Wilkinson and her partner Ryan Guida, Joseph Pastore, Nicholas Wilkinson, Jessica Churchill and her husband Mike. She was the great-grandmother of Alexandra and Isabella Francis and Daegan Guida. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters: Jessie, Louie, William, Allen, Charles and Gordon James. Susan Whitehead, Marjorie Martini and Dorothy James.
