Thomas R. Manchester, Sr. passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. He was 84 years of age. Thomas was the beloved husband of Judith A. (Northup) Manchester to whom he shared over 59 years of marriage. He was the youngest of 13 children born to the late Ernest B. and Marion E. (Yost) Frateus Manchester.
Possessed with a strong work ethic, Thomas worked tirelessly as a truck driver to provide for his wife and children. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the NY Yankees play. A true patriot, he always had his yard decorated with American flags. His family could always count on him to be there when they needed him, and they have found peace in knowing that he is with the Lord now.
He was the devoted father of Nancy Martineau, Tina Manchester, Thomas R. Manchester Jr., Dawn Daniels, John Manchester, Jason Manchester and the late Mark Manchester; grandfather of 23 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, from 9-11am with a Funeral Service at 11am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. His burial will be private.
