Showcase Cinemas recently completed renovation of the Showcase Cinema de Lux Warwick on Quaker Lane. In addition to the XPlus Laser Premium Large Format Auditorium unveiled in February, the cinema now also offers a re-imagined lobby bar and concession area and a new state-of-the-art box office, plus all-reserved and fully powered recliners in all auditoriums. The Warwick cinema is one of 22 owned by the company in this country. Here Mark Malinowski, VP of Global Marketing for Showcase Cinemas, offers a sampling of one of the lounge’s specialty cocktails. Looking on is Colleen McCormick Blair vice president of Marlo Marketing. “The new XPlus Laser Premium Large Format auditorium with laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound has already proven to be extremely popular with our guests, and we’re excited to have completed this project in advance of the release of highly-anticipated films like ‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ and ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ plus many more coming this summer,” Malinowski said. Also pictured is Dan Herrle, who started his career in the entertainment business as an usher at the age of 15 and is the assistant vice president of food and beverage for the company. He holds up one of the drink containers designed for ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ which is now playing at the cinema. The stand offers a variety of popcorn flavors and for National Pride Month will have “rainbow” popcorn. (Beacon Communications photos)
