Drug studies for the prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease

Both the Alzheimer’s Disease & Memory Disorders Center at Rhode Island Hospital and the Memory & Aging Program at Butler Hospital are involved in the “The Ahead Study,” which is testing an investigational treatment aimed at delaying memory decline in people before the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease are apparent. The study is for men and women 55-80 who are NOT experiencing any memory or thinking problems. If you are interested in more information, call Terry Fogerty at Rhode Island Hospital at 606-4664, call the Outreach Team at Butler Hospital at 455-6402 or email them at memory@butler.org.

Following the state protocol, face masks and social distancing are required.
