Caregiver’s Support Group

Some advantages of joining a support group: a chance to share common experiences; learning coping strategies; receiving affirmation that attending to your own needs is vital; forming friendships to help avoid isolation; the opportunity to help others.

If you have any questions, call Jennifer at 780-6254 or just drop by at our next support group meeting.

Yoga classes

Yoga can be a gateway to a healthier life. Yoga addresses the many challenges that we face as we grow older, including sore joints, stress, muscle tension, flexibility and balance.

Beginning in May, two different yoga classes will be offered at the center. Choose what works for you.

Chair Yoga With Margaret:

Tuesdays, 10 to 11 a.m. Fee: $2.

Chair yoga is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits of yoga. Staying seated means that even frail seniors or those who aren’t flexible can safely do the exercises.

Mat Yoga With Margaret:

Fridays, 10 to 11 a.m. Fee: $3.

By the time we reach our 60s, it sometimes feels like we have a lifetime of tension locked in our bodies. On the inside we may feel young and vibrant, but on the outside we feel more than a little stiff, tired and out of shape. Make time now for YOU! Mat yoga will help relieve stress, cultivate a clear mind, and build a strong body.

For more information on these yoga classes, call Kathi at 780-6216.
