Diabetes Support Group: Diabetes & Blood Pressure, Part II

URI Pharmacy Outreach Program

Understanding the relationship between diabetes and blood pressure is essential. Over time, diabetes damages the small blood vessels in your body, causing the walls of the blood vessels to stiffen. This increases pressure, which can lead to high blood pressure. What can we do about this? At this presentation, you will learn how to maintain good blood pressure control.

Reminiscing & Setting Goals

As a senior who will be 80 this year, I believe we get better with age. We have gained so much knowledge over the years. However, sometimes with all this knowledge we do not think about using it. We have wisdom but instead of passing it on to others many times we stay silent. So, let’s use that knowledge and wisdom we gained over the years to help others. In our younger years we had goals, some we achieved and some we did not. So, it is time to set new goals that are attainable. Join us as we reminisce about the past and talk about what we can do today!

During the Annual Open Enrollment Period, you can make changes to your Medicare health and drug coverage that will take effect on Jan. 1, 2022. Nutrition Division Thanksgiving Pie Sale

Add a delicious baked pie to your Thanksgiving dinner or bring one to a friend. Pumpkin, apple and mince available. Place your order in person, payment due when ordering. Order by Friday, Nov. 19.

Transvan

Cranston’s Transportation System for Cranston residents 55 years or older Cranston Transvan provides services within the city of Cranston Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Tranvan provides service from private homes and senior housing to the center, to personal appointments (medical, banking, hairdresser, pharmacies, etc.), and for scheduled grocery and retail shopping.

The cost is $25 monthly. For more information, call 943-3341 or 780- 6218.
