To all our friends:

We want you to know that although so much has changed these past few weeks, our commitment to all of you remains unwavering. We miss you! Since we are not yet able to schedule classes and activities at the center, we ask all of you to stay safe and stay healthy and stay active.

To help you stay active and since we cannot be together, we are offering the Walk With Ease “Walking Club” Challenge. It is a walking club with a twist … you can walk alone or with a friend. You have from the time you read this to Aug. 14. The goal is to walk on 18 different days. You can walk twice a week, three times a week, four times a week – whatever you find convenient. You are not competing with anyone except yourself. You can walk for 10 minutes or an hour. What matters is that you exercise by walking.

Be sure to begin your walk by stretching. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and don’t forget the sunblock. Be sure to hydrate with water before, during and after your walk. Walk outdoors at your own pace, and walk as far and as long as you are comfortable. Keep a log with the dates that you walked.

To register for our Walk With Ease “Walking Club,” call 780-6000 or email Maria Rondeau at mrondeau@cranstonri.org with your name, address, phone number and email address. At the end we will ask you to send or email us your log.
