Last week, during the Garden City Evening Summer Concert, the Cranston Police Department joined thousands of other cities and towns across the United States in promoting safety and wellness while strengthening the police-community partnerships by offering opportunities to engage with law enforcement in a relaxed and family-friendly setting. place in the Shopping Center gazebo.
The community had the opportunity to interact with Colonel Winquist, other members of the Command Staff, and various members of the Cranston Police which include Cali, the department’s therapy dog, the CPD Crisis Intervention Team, the Traffic and K-9 units.
Some other community partners on hand were CCAP Substance Abuse Task Force, Gateway Mental Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Hope Initiative, and the Rhode Island Secretary of State’s unclaimed property task force. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
