Garden City’s third of four weekly summer concerts was held on Tuesday, August 2, with a performance by the band Blurred Vision. The concert series began on July 19 and held its final show of the season this Tuesday, August 9.

Blurred Vision, an eight-piece band made up of drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, trumpet, saxophone and both male and female vocals, played a variety of pop, top 40 and dance music. Voted one of theknot.com’s Best of Weddings since 2016 and RI Monthly as Best Wedding music, the band is made up of a number of local Rhode Islanders from across the state and has a perfect five-star rating on weddingwire.com.

The band, and the concert series have been drawing in noticeable crowds, sometimes up to 300 people, who fill the entire gazebo area of Garden City and spill into the surrounding area effectively turning the whole shopping center into one big concert venue. People showed up with their own fold out chairs and were able to satisfy food cravings and other needs  at restaurants and shops throughout the shopping center.

For their final show of the summer season Garden City will be having Big Lux, a hip-hop inspired violinist who has been making his name across the state, take the stage to close out the concert series. (Photos by Steve Popiel)
