Master Plan

You are hereby notified that the Cranston City Plan Commission will hold a special teleconference (Zoom) meeting to review the Master Plan for an eight (8) lot subdivision for single family homes entitled “The Preserve at Pippin Orchard”.  This public informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 6:30 P.M.

The subject parcel is located on Pippin Orchard Road, Assessor’s Plat 34, Lot 51 and contains 19.89 +/- acres. The property owners are Linda M. Shaw and The Linda M., Shaw Revocable Trust and the applicant is Narragansett Partners, LLC, 215 Reservoir Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. The property is zoned A-80.

The applicant proposes to subdivide the parcel into eight (8) lots to develop single-family homes as a residential planned district (RPD).  Approximately sixty percent (60%) of the site will be preserved as open space.  The proposed single-family subdivision is a use allowed by-right within the Cranston Zoning Code.

All interested parties are welcome to join the meeting online or call in and participate during the public comment portion of the meeting.  The plan will be presented for public comment and City Plan Commission review.

Pursuant to the Cranston Subdivision and Land Development Regulations, the proposed plan may be revised by the City Plan Commission as a result of further study or because of views expressed at this meeting.  Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired should contact the Planning Department at 461-1000 ext. 3136, seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting date.
