Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) have donated more than 2,480 containers of nuts to Operation Holiday Cheer! Each September and October, Girl Scouts take orders in person from friends and family for nuts and candy as part of its Fall Product Program. Customers have the option to purchase nuts which get donated to local service members through Operation Holiday Cheer. The program, organized by the Lt. Governor’s office, sends packages to Rhode Island service members stationed away from home during the holidays. This picture was taken Nov. 19 at the National Guard armory on Airport Road where volunteers packed more than 400 boxes that will be mailed. (Submitted photo)
