Old-fashioned bazaar & alternative market at Edgewood Church

Looking for something different for your Christmas shopping this year?

Head on over to Edgewood Congregational Church, 1788 Broad St. in Cranston, December 1 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for their Old Fashioned Bazaar & Alternative Market. The bazaar will feature craft vendors and collectors selling their original creations, along with a variety of holiday plants and gifts.

New this year is a coffee and beverage bar featuring Fair Trade coffees. Enjoy delicious coffee that has been grown in communities that pay fair wages to their workers and bring a few bags home with you. There will be a number of raffles with great prizes, home-baked treats, pastries and a light lunch available.

A new concept in gift giving is the Alternative Market. As Christmas is a time of giving, non-profit/charitable organizations will be provided space to tell their story and offer shoppers an opportunity to “gift” a donation to friends and family in lieu of a tangible gift. (Who needs another sweater or pair of socks?).

Participating organizations include Save the Bay, The Ronald McDonald House, The Elisha Project, PAAWS RI, The RISPCA, Project Outreach, and others.
