PROPOSED ORDINANCE
NO. 8-20-03 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 15 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANTON, 2005, ENTITLED “BUILDINGS AND
CONSTRUCTION”
(Complaints)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Chapter 15.04.120 entitled “Complaints” is hereby amended as follows:

All complaints made to the department of inspections concerning any alleged violations of the building code or of the minimum housing code of the city whether written, verbal, photographed, recorded on film, or anonymous shall be considered and investigated by said department. Such complaints will be investigated by the said department, and, if deemed in violation, fined without said department viewing the actual work in progress.

This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 8-20-04
IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 9, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED “PUBLIC PEACE, MORALS AND WELFARE”
(Social Security No. Police
Complaint)

It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:

Section 1. Title 9 of the Code of the City of Cranston, 2005, entitled “Public Peace, Morals and Welfare” is hereby amended by adding the following new Section:

Chapter 9.01 Complaints.

No person shall be required to provide a Social Security number in order to file a Police Report or Complaint.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
