Pawtuxet Village got a jump on the display of the red, white and blue with Gaspee Days and most notably, the stripe running down Narragansett Parkway in Warwick to Broad Street in Cranston. Then there’s the flags hanging from street lamp posts supplemented by business, residential and non profit organizational displays like this from the steps of the Pawtuxet Baptist Church. Eddie and Nancy Napolillo who bought the home at 95 Narragansett Parkway almost two years ago have taken it even a step further with plantings of red, white and blue petunias bordering the walkway to their home. The couple were out Sunday raking and weeding the gardens in preparation for the Fourth. Eddie paused to show off the effort. Nancy would have joined him if she’d had time to fix her hair…a downpour soon made that impossible. (Warwick Beacon photos)
