RECKLESS DRIVING
On May 1 at 11:44 p.m., officers arrested Michael Barney, 30, of 28 Connecticut St. Apt. 3, Cranston on charges of Reckless Driving/Eluding Police, Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest, Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty, and an affidavit arrest warrant from Rhode Island State Police. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Barney was held for morning court.
DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On May 1 at 4:53 p.m., officers arrested Garrett Johnson, 25, of 187 Third Ave. Apt. 2, Cranston, on a charge of Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the aforementioned address. Johnson was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and remanded to the ACI.
DUI
On May 1 at 5:56 p.m., officers arrested Nikauris Taveras, 45, of 1303 Elmwood Ave. Apt.101, Cranston, for DUI / Drugs / Alcohol 1st Offense – BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the intersection of Roslyn and Park avenues. Taveras was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
SIMPLE ASSAULT
On May 1 at 1:51 p.m., officer arrested Amaurys Severino, 30, of 60 Toronto Ave. Providence, on a charge of Simple Assault or Battery and Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of the subject being taken into custody at Cranston police headquarters. Severino was awaiting arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
POSSESSION OF DRUGS
On April 30 at about 7:41 p.m., officers arrested Tyler J O’Shea, 36, of 28 Lyndhurst Ave., Providence, charging him with one (1) count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule 1-2 (Cocaine) 1 oz to 1 Kg and one (1) count of possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl) under 10g. The arrest was the result of assist to Providence police in locating a suicidal male and subsequent Felony Car Stop. O’Shea was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and remanded to ACI.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
On April 30 at 2:25 a.m., officers arrested Cassidy Cabral, 30, of 95 Read St., Somerset, Massachusetts on a charge of disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at 1369 Park Ave. #3. Cabral was held for morning arraignment.
DOMESTIC B&E
On April 30 at 12:48 a.m., officers arrested Victor Nogueras, 32, of 923 Branch Ave., Providence on charges of Domestic Breaking and Entering, Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as well as a Cranston police warrant for previous Domestic Breaking and Entering, Domestic Refusal to relinquish a phone and Domestic Vandalism. The arrest was the result of a call about a breaking and entering at 11 Fairbanks St. Nogueras was held for morning arraignment.
