Praise Tabernacle Church, located at 330 Park Ave. held their free musical show “Christmas In The City" this past weekend.

Free of charge, the event was booked out early prior to each of the four shows and on matinee.

Praise Tabernacle's annual Christmas musical Christmas in the City was a spectacular show with everything from 150,000 Christmas light display outside, live animals and nativity scene to amateur singers, dancers and actor from all walks of life.

“The reason we do this is to portray the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ. Our venue is a weekend event where we pack the place out every night with people that want to get away from the commercial aspect of the holiday. This gives us the opportunity to share with them; around 2,500 to 3,000 people who attended throughout the performances,” said Linda Cantone. Cantone is one of the lead singers along with most of her family. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
