If you’re looking for a walking buddy or a playmate for a child, adopt a dog. If you’re looking for hours of games and cuddles, adopt a kitten. But if you’re looking for a quiet friend who would be happy simply to sit on the couch and relax with a loving family, then adopt Alice. This 4-year-old cat is very peaceful and would like a quiet home. She likes attention and head scratches, but cannot go to a home with young children. Alice should be adopted to a family with adults and older children only. She is already spayed, Rabies- and Distemper-vaccinated and ready to go home today.

The adoption fee for Alice is $95. This fee must be paid with a check or money order and includes all initial vaccinations, heartworm testing, and spaying/neutering. To insure we adopt all of our residents into responsible homes, we require adopters to provide proof of home ownership or a notarized letter of permission from their landlord. If you are hoping to adopt an animal but think that Alice may not be the right fit for your home, please look for the “Animal of the Week” article featured next week or pick up a copy of the PawPrint Press, our quarterly newsletter for the Cranston Animal Shelter featuring the animals available for adoption. These applications are completely non-binding and allow us to learn more about our potential adopters as well as shielding our residents from people who use the shelter as a petting zoo.
