pursuant to Section 3.12.of the Charter on proposed Ordinance 1-21-05 amending Chapter 17.84 of Code of the City of Cranston, 2005, entitled “Zoning" “Conformance to District Regulations Required & Substandard Lots of Record”.
The City is proposing to amend Chapter 17.20.040 and 17.88-010. The purpose of this Code Amendment is to seek to clarify the rules and exemptions for merging substandard (pre-existing nonconforming) lots of record for zoning purposes. It also seeks to clarify how lot requirements apply to various land development activities and provides a provision for qualifying substandard lots of record to be developed without zoning relief for existing lot conditions.
