Radio Beacon: Adam Carbone’s outside-the-box mayoral bid

Posted

Adam Carbone is running for Cranston mayor as a Democrat. His true goal, however, is to create a new political entity - the Bagel & Cream Cheese Party, as he’s dubbed it.

His agenda and attire are intentionally attention-grabbing, and his approach is rooted in his experience as a comedian. He points to performance artist and perennial candidate Vermin Supreme as an inspiration, and he acknowledges not everyone will appreciate, or be in on, the joke. But he says he is serious about shaking things up in City Hall.

Carbone joined us this week for the first episode of our new season of Radio Beacon, which will focus on the 2020 campaign and the candidates vying for local offices.

Radio Beacon is the weekly podcast of Beacon Communications, publisher of the Warwick Beacon, Cranston Herald, Johnston Sun Rise and Coventry Reminder. Listen on Anchor Podcasts through the link above, or check us out on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other podcast platforms.

I dont think our political process is to be trifled with these childish nonsense games. Comedians are great, just not in this important arena.

Bagel & Cream Cheese Party, Vermin Supreme... really? no.

Cranston has their very own "taxpayers mayor"...send in the clowns. Never mind, they are out in full force all over the State, supposedly running for office.
