Rebekah Berger and Anthony Amaral III of East Providence announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jimmy and Toni Berger of Cranston. She is a graduate of Cranston High School East and the University of Rhode Island. She works in radio at Cumulus Media/Hot 106.
The groom-to-be is the son of Anthony and Sheila Amaral Jr. of East Providence. He is a graduate of East Providence High School and Rhode Island College. He is employed by Apple and is an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College, Providence.
Bekah was asked to judge a comedy competition through her job, and Tony was doing stand-up that night. Tony not only lit up the stage, he piqued Bekah’s interest. She sent him a Facebook message that same night and six years later here they are. They are planning a church ceremony on April 16, 2016 at St. George Maronite Catholic Church, with a reception to follow at Harbor Lights in Warwick.
