Frank Ritz, a dedicated advocate for education and community engagement, proudly announces his intention to seek reelection for the Ward 4 School Committee.

Having served the community with diligence and commitment over the past term, Frank Ritz brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role. Throughout his tenure, Frank has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments, advocating for the needs of all students, and ensuring transparency and accountability within the school system.

“I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve our community over the last term, and I am eager to continue the important work we have begun,” Ritz said. “As a parent, mentor, and active member of our community, I am deeply invested in the success and well-being of every student in Cranston. I believe that by working collaboratively with parents, teachers, administrators, and community stakeholders, we can continue to enhance educational opportunities and ensure that every child has the resources they need to thrive.”

“I am very proud of the safety enhancements we have added such as bullet proof glass at Cranston West, increased fencing around Oaklawn paving entrances at Orchard Farms and an increased police presence at all schools,” Ritz said. “We added air conditioning to the lunchroom at Oaklawn, created an outdoor learning space at Hope Highlands and used Covid funds to offer programs and technology improvements for all students to rebound from the impact of distance learning.”

Throughout his tenure, Frank has been instrumental in implementing innovative educational initiatives, advocating for equitable funding, and promoting policies that prioritize student achievement and well-being. He has worked tirelessly to address the evolving needs of students and families, championing initiatives aimed at enhancing academic excellence, promoting diversity and inclusion, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Frank’s reelection campaign will focus on building upon the progress achieved during his tenure, advocating for continued investment in education, and ensuring that all students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed. He committed to listening to the concerns and priorities of the community and working collaboratively to address the challenges facing our schools.
