The top-seeded Cranston East softball team beat Davies 5-2 in the opening round of the Division III playoffs last week. Jaeda Viveiros led the way at the plate with two RBI while Nevaeh Fatorma drove in another.
Isabella Sousa got the win in the circle, allowing two runs in seven innings and racking up 16 strikeouts.
BASEBALL
Coventry 7, West 1
The Oakers bounced the Falcons from the DI postseason last Friday night.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
East 3, West 1
The Bolts earned a hard-fought win over the rival Falcons in a non-league meeting last week. The Bolts also beat East Greenwich 3-0 in their regular season finale last week. Caleb Xum surpassed 1,000 career assists in the win while Charles Pincince finished with 21 kills.
