The Cranston East boys basketball team fell to La Salle 60-33 last week in a Division I showdown. Despite the loss, Albert Kesse has continued to make his presence felt as he led the Bolts with 16 points scored.
The Bolts edged Woonsocket in a 51-50 overtime thriller the previous game to pick up their first league win of the season. Darien Peterson led the Bolts with 20 points while Kesse added nine.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
North Kingstown 78, West 56
The Skippers earned a statement win by handing West its first loss since the return from the holiday break. Kyla Buco led West with 17 points scored while Olivia Tedeschi-Moran added 16.
INDOOR TRACK
West’s Alonso Parker-Sharpe took first place in the 55 hurdles at the Falcons’ league meet on Monday in Providence.
