The Cranston East softball team remained unbeaten when it topped Davies 12-2 last week at home.
Kiara McGarty and Samaya Imondi each knocked in three runs while Nevaeh Fatorma added two runs as well as Jaeda Viveiros. Isabella Sousa once again delivered in the circle, pitching six innings and allowing no earned runs on one hit while striking out eight.
BASEBALL
North Providence 3, East 2
Five East pitchers would combine to strike out 14 batters and hold North Providence to just one earned run, but the Bolts’ bats were cold as they fell on Saturday.
Jayden Tolentino knocked in a run while Jerusalen Leon crossed home plate twice.
West 7, Smithfield 1
The Falcons rolled past the Sentinels to get back to .500. Alex Milano led the way at the plate with three RBI while Jack Fontaine and Brendan Smith also knocked in runs.
Milano got the win on the mound, tossing four innings and allowing no earned runs on one hit while striking out five batters.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
East 3, Chariho 0
The Bolts shut out the Chargers last week. Charles Pincince led the way with 14 kills while Larry Yin recorded 15 digs on defense.
