The Warwick-West Warwick girls hockey co-op got a win over Cranston on Monday afternoon at Thayer when it held off the Thunderbirds 3-2.
After a scoreless first period, Lauren Bastien would get the Titans on the board with a goal. Cranston’s Lindsey Rowe quickly responded with a goal to tie the game, but Warwick’s Hayley Clemm went on to score two unassisted goals to put Warwick ahead 3-1 heading into the final peiod.
Despite Cranston getting a late goal, it would not be enough as the Titans’ defense held on for the win.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Pilgrim 70, St. Ray’s 52
The Pats picked up a big Division II win over the Saints on Monday night.
Carter Clifton led the charge with a game-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers. Dylan Vale and Derrick Butler Jr. each scored 14 points in the win as well.
Toll Gate 67, Exeter-West Greenwich 65
The Titans snapped a three-game losing streak by beating the Scarlet Knights on Monday. Damola Oremosu led Toll Gate with 14 points while Jack Colvin and Jake Andersen each added 12 and Will Goodine 11. Oremosu also hauled in 10 rebounds.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tiverton 52, Toll Gate 20
Addison Eddy led Toll Gate with seven points in its loss to Tiverton on Tuesday night.
Pilgrim 47, Times2 42
The Pats pulled off a big win on Tuesday night. Lily Hall led Pilgrim with 14 points, followed by Sloan Hogan with nine and Skylar Hawes seven.
BOYS HOCKEY
Hendricken 3,
Moses Brown 1
The Hawks picked up another pivotal Division I win last week when they skated past Moses Brown.
Frank Tillinghast, Aiden Craft and Karlton Lough all scored goals for the defending champs and Jacob Aimon recorded an assist. Goalie Avery Picchione racked up 22 saves in net for Hendricken.
Pilgrim 2, Barrington 0
The Pats picked up their second league win of the winter last week when they beat the Eagles at home.
Nate Kane scored for Pilgrim in the first period and Jack Sayler put the game away when he scored on an empty net deep in the third. Michael Bessette was strong in net for the Pats, stopping all 31 shots faced to earn the win.
