The Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market officially opened for the season over the weekend at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.

Organizers are still confirming vendors for the season, but the vendors present on Saturday (and their offerings) included Lia’s Organic Vegetables (formerly Basil Farm, vegetables); Sweet Crumbles (gluten-free and vegan baked goods); Beans & Buns (assorted pastries, muffins, iced coffee, fresh juices, pizza strips, cinnamon buns); Blue Skies Farm (vegetables and flowers); Sanctuary Herbs (teas and dried herbs); GC Farms (vegetables and eggs); The Local Catch (seafood); and Pak Express (vegetables, eggs, nime chow).

This year, market tables returned to their traditional orientation facing the street rather than the hill. Live music has also returned this season.

Despite recent updates to the state’s COVID-19 mask guidelines for those who have been vaccinated, the market’s organizers request patrons continue to wear masks and practice social distancing.

For more information, find the market on Instagram (@pawtuxet_farmers_market), Facebook (@pawtuxetvillagefarmersmarket) and at its website (pawtuxetmarket.com). The market will run throughout the summer on Saturday mornings from 9 to noon. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
