Praise Tabernacle Church on Park Avenue held its annual Christmas musical show, titled “Christmas in the City,” over the weekend.
From an opening number featuring the entire cast singing “Christmas in the City” to the subtle saxophone performance by Joe Cantone Sr. with his rendition of “Away in a Manger,” the stage was constantly filled with dancing, singing and musicians.
Every performance was filled to capacity as generations of families gathered to enjoy the free community event.
On Saturday, a special sensory-friendly matinee show was held for the audience equipped with a calming room if needed.
In total, five shows were put on over the weekend. Praise Tabernacle Church has been performing Christmas musicals for more than 30 years.
