While many remained indoors to avoid the single digit temperatures of the weekend, others took advantage of the natural ice found on area ponds. For some members of the Bishop Hendricken Hockey team, Sunday was virtually a day-long opportunity for camaraderie and practice in preparation for this week’s game with Pilgrim. As it turned out, the pond they practiced on off Squantum Drive in Governor Francis Farms was the choice for some Pilgrim players as well.  But even devote hockey players need a break and sustenance. By late afternoon Hendricken players, from left, Matthew Moretti , Drew Gayman and Jack Hornstein were ready to score some food.  They returned to play on into dusk. (Warwick Beacon photo)
