Woodridge Church hosts drop-off food collection

VOLUNTEER EFFORT: Bob Cole is just about ready to make his first trip to bring the collected food donations to the food pantry during Woodridge’s Church drop-off food collection.

Donors came with their trunks full of non-perishable food items during the Pop the Trunk Food Collection at Woodridge Congregational United Church of Christ on June 28. Donations will go directly to the Cranston Interfaith Food Pantry. Donors remained in their vehicles and volunteers emptied the items from each trunk. Approximately 25 to 30 cars stopped in and they filled up the backs of two pickup trucks with food donations. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
