The Rotary Club of Cranston held a “Touch a Truck” event in Garden City Center on May 22. Despite the heat, hundreds of people stopped in to see or climb the big rigs, fire trucks and police motorcycles as well as meet K-9 officers from the Cranston Police Department.
There was a suggested $10 donation per family and children of all ages were able to enjoy Newport Creamery ice cream and Legal Sea Foods chowder, along with face painting and balloon animals.
