The Cranston Parks and Recreation Department held a successful drive-thru Trunk or Treat event at the Cranston Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Organizers welcomed 160 cars and provided candy to more than 400 children. Working with friends from the Cranston Public Library, Cranston Family Center/COZ, Cranston Health Equity Zone, OneCranston, Aramark, Roger Williams Park Zoo, the VFW, and the Cranston Police and Fire departments, the event was the highlight of many children’s Halloween.

“I want to thank Regina Lynch, my parks and recreation clerk, who puts in so much time organizing the event,” said Tony Liberatore, director of parks and recreation. “Mayor Allan Fung and Barbara Ann Fenton-Fung were also on hand most of the day passing out candy to the happy children.”
