The University of Rhode Island women’s ice hockey team edged visiting UMass Amherst 5-3 last week in the team’s regular season finale. Leading the Rams was Cranston native Abbi Sampson, who finished with a pair of goals while assisting on another. The Rams finished the season with an 8-12-1-1 record while Sampson finished with 10 goals and seven assists.
