The Johnston Senior Center "Spotlite" this week shines on Linda Cesario, who
regularly travels in from Warwick to participate in Bingo and other Center
sponsored events. Linda started coming to the JSC at the invitation of her
sister, and soon found the people and staff friendly and welcoming. She had
moved to Johnston at the age of 12, then to Cranston, and spent over
25 years living in Gloucester. After the passing of her husband,
she moved to Warwick, and now resides with her daughter. Linda spent the
majority of her working career, associated with various nursing facilities
in the community, primarily serving as an activities coordinator. One thing
about Linda that is very obvious upon meeting her, is that smiling face and
friendly demeanor, especially around older adults. Linda is also a
professionally trained singer, who now uses those talents to spread the word
and entertain those who attend services at the Lighthouse of Faith in
Scituate. Hopefully, the Johnston Senior Center will benefit from her
talents and we can convince her to entertain the members here during this
holiday season.
