This year’s Cranston Hall of Fame members will be celebrated Friday night at an induction ceremony at the Alpine Country Club.  The sold-out event will mark the induction of:

  • Lara D’Antuano, a 1998 graduate of Cranston High School West and President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Warwick.
  • Steven Marocco, a 1974 graduate of Cranston High School West and owner of the Elmwood Sports Center.
  • Rena Nathanson, a 1980 graduate of Cranston High School East and co-founder and CEO of Bananagrams Inc.
  • Nancy Vitulli, a 1977 graduate of Cranston High School East, and a theater teacher at Cranston West as well as a community drama director.
  • David Zisserson, a 1997 graduate of Cranston High School West, and assistant Chief of the Tax Division of the Criminal Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice.

In addition to the inductees, Cezar Ferreira will be this year's recipient of the Dr. Frank DelSanto Community Service Award.

This is the 44th class for the Hall of Fame which was founded to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of graduates of the Cranston school system.

“Again, this year we have outstanding inductees,” said Hall of Fame president Cindy Bucci. “And again, they represent a variety of professions including sports, music, business, law, and community service.

“The Hall of Fame celebrates graduates of Cranston who have excelled in their careers,” she said.  “They are a credit to their education in Cranston.”

Bucci said the organization remains grateful its Hall of Fame alumni who continue to support with donations and by participating in the annual celebrations.  Their continued support enables the Hall of Fame to keep awarding local scholarships.
