Sprague Mansion open house, Ward 3 tree lighting make for holiday combo

Posted

Area residents and visitors had the chance to see a holiday decorated Governor Sprague Mansion at the open house hosted by the Cranston Historical Society Sunday prior to Ward 3 tree lighting, hosted by Councilman John Donegan.

“We were not able to host the event last year, so I'm extremely excited to gather this year to celebrate the holidays and our community,” said Donegan. In addition to a performance from the Bain Chorus, a tree lighting, and refreshments were provided by various school parent organizations and the OneCranston Health Equity Zone will be across the street at the Fire Station administering booster shots and kid shots.

“If you've never had a chance to explore this Victorian mansion, I highly suggest
you come to the tree lighting a few minutes early to take advantage of this
opportunity,” said Donegan (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
