On Wednesday, May 10, 2023 Cranston High School East celebrated students from the class of 2023 and 2024 who were inducted into the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, and students from the class of 2024 who have received academic awards this year.Additionally, new officers were inducted into both honor societies as well.

The JROTC students presented the colors while Alexia Josephson and Aubere Josephson sang the National Anthem. Isabella Ba introduced the platform guests, which included Mayor Kenneth Hopkins, from the Cranston Public Schools Administrative offices, Norma Cole, Assistant Superintendent of Cranston Public Schools, Zachary Farrell, Executive Director of Secondary Programs, and Jen Cowart, Communications Specialist; from the Cranston School Committee, Michael Traficante, Chairman of the Cranston School Committee, Kristen Haroian, Anthony Melillo, and Domenic Fusco, School Committee members.

He encouraged them to make their success a habit in their lives, calling them the finest students, dreamers, and doers for their achievements of excellence and character.

Cranston East administrators, along with Cranston East faculty, including Principal Barbieri, Assistant Principals Christopher Coleman, Paul DePalma, Kaitlin Hitchings, Jodi Kopecky, Isa Tejada, Kristin Ward, Ian Smith, Scott Maynard, Krent Esposito, Nina Di Lorio, and Sophia DeLuca presented the students with their honor society certificates and helped to facilitate the induction ceremony.
