The Warwick Historical Society and Rhode Island state photographer Chester Browning will give a presentation about T. F. Green Airport from 1931 to 1996 at the Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, October 15 at 7 p.m.
They will talk about the history and development of Rhode Island’s state airport from its start in 1931 to the completion of the Governor Bruce G. Sundlun Terminal in 1996 as well as smaller satellite airports in the state.
Chester Browning was a photographer and media specialist for the State of Rhode Island for 34 years who worked at T. F. Green (now Rhode Island International) Airport. He is a charter member and past president of the Quonset Air Museum and an aviation enthusiast with a collection of several thousand photos and documents about Rhode Island aviation history.
