THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN
* * ½
(Soap opera
told by a dog)
Milo Ventimiglia of TV’s “This Is Us” fame plays a married-with-family-and-dog racing car driver named Denny Swift, who has the worst luck in the world. His story is told through the eyes of his beloved dog, Enzo. (We’ll let you guess who the voice is.)
Denny is sort of a modern day Job. He hasn’t won a race, has financial problems, his wife has cancer, his dog gets hit by a car, and his in-laws bring a custody suit against him…yet he maintains a positive attitude. This one is a bit of a tear-jerker.
Rated PG, with nothing to worry about with the kids except for it being a downer.
